What is Azoth Allspiritus?
With a combined two decades of experience, Jason Hawkins, D.O., a board-certified family medicine physician, and Zeina Ghoul, Ph.D., L.P.C., a licensed professional counselor, founded Azoth Allspiritus to bridge the often-overlooked connection between body and mind in healthcare. We are a practice based in Farmington Hills, Michigan centered on helping transform your health – inside and out.
At Azoth Allspiritus, ‘holistic’ means more than just addressing multiple symptoms; it’s about understanding and treating you as a complete person. This involves considering your physical symptoms, emotional well-being, mental health, social environment, and lifestyle factors. Our integrative approach encompasses a wide range of therapeutic modalities and lifestyle assessments to ensure that every aspect of your well-being is considered and cared for.
The term ‘Azoth’ symbolizes metamorphosis, reflecting our commitment to transformative care that addresses both mental and physical well-being. Insights from science about the brain’s capacity for change and connection are at the core of our approach, embodying the holistic spirit of Allspiritus — the unified potential within our consciousness. We understand that each person’s journey is distinct. Drs. Hawkins and Ghoul combine their expertise to create a tailored approach that aligns with your individual needs, promoting balance and harmony across all aspects of your life.
Frequently Asked Questions
Monitoring your progress involves teaming up with your clinician to employ a range of approaches. These can encompass periodic assessments within your sessions to evaluate your growth, utilizing self-rating scales or surveys that numerically capture your emotional or mental shifts, and revisiting your established treatment objectives to assess how far you’ve come. You could also observe alterations in specific behaviors or cognitive patterns over time as specified in your treatment agenda. The effort to keep tabs on your progress is a joint endeavor with your clinician, aimed at confirming your steady advancement toward your goals.
The rate of progress is individualized and influenced by variables like the specific concerns you’re facing, your engagement with the treatment approach, and your level of commitment – therefore a fixed timeline for improvement cannot be guaranteed.
If you’re facing an emergency, call 911 or head to the ER. Azoth Allspiritus isn’t set up to manage emergencies or urgent needs. For pressing but non-emergency issues, protocols are in place for existing patients to contact their clinician beyond standard operating hours, as detailed in your individual treatment plan.
We do not process insurance claims at this time. This model frees us from insurance-imposed restrictions, such as limits on the number of sessions or session duration. It enhances confidentiality, as minimal documentation is required that could be shared with external entities. This approach often leads to more scheduling flexibility and a broader range of treatment choices. All financial details, including payment methods and rates, are provided upfront for full transparency.
Superbill: Although insurance is not accepted, we can provide a superbill after your payments upon request. You can submit this superbill to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. We cannot guarantee that your insurance company will offer you a reimbursement. Therefore, if you are interested in a superbill, we highly recommend that you connect with your insurance company to learn more about the process and determine the likelihood that you will be reimbursed. You can learn more about superbills at the GoodRX Health website by clicking this link.
Our clinicians prioritize keeping established patients’ personal information confidential and will only share it with your consent or if mandated by law. Communication exceptions may include dialogue with other healthcare providers associated with your care or with emergency responders when required. If professional misconduct by another healthcare provider is reported, limited information will be disclosed to the appropriate licensing bodies, after consultation with you. There are legally mandated situations that could compel your clinician to breach confidentiality:
- If there is a clear and imminent danger to another person, your clinician may need to warn the at-risk individual and notify the authorities.
- If abuse or neglect of minors or the elderly is suspected, legal obligations necessitate reporting to the relevant authorities.
- In cases where you present an immediate risk of self-harm, contacting emergency services or law enforcement may become necessary, although alternate safety measures will be discussed with you first.
Risks
- Privacy and Confidentiality: You may be asked to share personal information with the tele-health platform to create an account, such as your name, date of birth, location, and contact information. We have vetted the tele-health platform used in our practice to ensure your information is secured to the appropriate standards.
- Technology: At times, you could have problems with your internet, video, or sound. If you have issues during a session, your Provider will follow the backup plan that you agree to prior to sessions.
- Crisis Management: It may be difficult for your clinician to provide immediate support during an emergency or crisis. You and your clinician will develop a plan for emergencies or crises, such as choosing a local emergency contact, creating a communication plan, and making a list of local support, emergency, and crisis services.
Benefits
- Flexibility: You can attend therapy wherever is convenient for you.
- Ease of Access: You can attend tele-health sessions without worrying about traveling, meaning you can schedule less time per session and can attend therapy during inclement weather or illness.
Recommendations
- Make sure that other people cannot hear your conversation or see your screen during sessions.
- Do not use video or audio to record your session unless you ask your clinician for their permission in advance.
- Make sure to let your clinician know if you are not in your usual location before starting any tele-health session.
