Not corporate medicine.

Not surface-level therapy.

For people who are tired of being rushed, dismissed, and handed prescriptions without real answers. Physician-led specialty care and insight-oriented counseling in Farmington, MI. We take time to understand what's actually happening, then help you address the root cause, not just the symptoms.

You don't have to keep pushing through

You’ve been managing symptoms long enough. Most new patients are seen within a week of scheduling, which means you could have answers and a clear path forward by next week.

Currently accepting new patients for both physical and mental health services.

Which of these sounds like you?

Most of our patients need one of these two paths (and some need both):

You’ve seen multiple doctors, but no one takes time to actually listen. You leave appointments with more prescriptions, but still no clarity on what’s wrong or why it keeps happening.

Or…

You’ve tried therapy before, but it felt surface-level. Breathing exercises and thought-challenging worksheets don’t address what you’re actually struggling with. You need someone who can keep up with how you think.

Physical Health

When your body doesn’t feel like yours anymore. You’re exhausted despite sleeping. Your hormones are off. You’ve gained weight you can’t lose. Your previous doctor ran basic labs, said everything’s “normal,” and sent you on your way.

Dr. Hawkins doesn’t work that way.

As an osteopathic physician, he takes time to investigate what’s actually causing your symptoms…not just what shows up on standard bloodwork. Then he creates a personalized treatment plan to restore your energy, rebalance your hormones, and help you feel like yourself again. Dr. Hawkins combines his medical training with a background in psychology, he understands how your mental and physical health influence each other, and treats accordingly

This isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about understanding your body and giving it what it actually needs.

  • Medical weight loss that addresses metabolic function, not just calories
  • Hormone optimization based on how YOU feel, not just lab ranges
  • Osteopathic manual medicine to address structural issues affecting your health
  •  Peptides to support recovery, performance, anti-aging and more
  • Therapeutic injections when you need targeted support

Mental Health

When you need more than coping skills.

You’ve tried therapy before. It helped a little, but it felt like your therapist couldn’t keep up with how you think. They gave you strategies you’d already considered. They seemed uncomfortable with the depth you wanted to go.

Dr. Ghoul specializes in working with people who think deeply and feel intensely.

You don’t need someone to teach you breathing exercises. You need someone who can help you understand the patterns that keep repeating; why you do what you do, why you feel what you feel, and how to actually change it. Dr. Ghoul holds a PhD in Counseling Education, a background in nutrition and food science, and has spent over 5 years training other therapists. She understands how your mind AND body work together, and she has taught  graduate-level counseling & psychology courses, which means she’s not just practiced in therapy, she’s an expert in how therapy actually works.

This is insight-oriented therapy for people who want to understand themselves, not just manage symptoms.

  • Individual counseling for adults using attachment theory and developmental psychology (Dr. Ghoul)
  • Ketamine-assisted therapy for treatment-resistant depression and anxiety (both Dr. Hawkins & Dr. Ghoul)
  • Medication management with Dr. Hawkins (because sometimes you need both therapy AND medical support )

What our patients are saying

"I have been seeing Dr. Hawkins for years now. His attention to detail and care is very important to me. As a patient, I feel like a priority. Dr. Hawkins goes out of his way after a visit to make sure that our plan is going smoothly and will always check in periodically before my next follow up. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Hawkins and his practice. If you are looking for a doctor who genuinely cares about you and your health, you will not be disappointed by choosing him and his practice."

Our clinicians prioritize keeping established patients’ personal information confidential and will only share it with your consent or if mandated by law. Communication exceptions may include dialogue with other healthcare providers associated with your care or with emergency responders when required. If professional misconduct by another healthcare provider is reported, limited information will be disclosed to the appropriate licensing bodies, after consultation with you. There are legally mandated situations that could compel your clinician to breach confidentiality:

  • If there is a clear and imminent danger to another person, your clinician may need to warn the at-risk individual and notify the authorities.
  • If abuse or neglect of minors or the elderly is suspected, legal obligations necessitate reporting to the relevant authorities.
  • In cases where you present an immediate risk of self-harm, contacting emergency services or law enforcement may become necessary, although alternate safety measures will be discussed with you first.

Risks

  • Privacy and Confidentiality:  You may be asked to share personal information with the tele-health platform to create an account, such as your name, date of birth, location, and contact information. We have vetted the tele-health platform used in our practice to ensure your information is secured to the appropriate standards.
  • Technology: At times, you could have problems with your internet, video, or sound. If you have issues during a session, your Provider will follow the backup plan that you agree to prior to sessions.
  • Crisis Management: It may be difficult for your clinician to provide immediate support during an emergency or crisis. You and your clinician will develop a plan for emergencies or crises, such as choosing a local emergency contact, creating a communication plan, and making a list of local support, emergency, and crisis services.

Benefits

  • Flexibility: You can attend therapy wherever is convenient for you.
  • Ease of Access: You can attend tele-health sessions without worrying about traveling, meaning you can schedule less time per session and can attend therapy during inclement weather or illness.

Recommendations

  • Make sure that other people cannot hear your conversation or see your screen during sessions.
  • Do not use video or audio to record your session unless you ask your clinician for their permission in advance.
  • Make sure to let your clinician know if you are not in your usual location before starting any tele-health session.
