Hormone Balance & Replacement in Farmington MI
Azoth Health provides hormone balance and replacement care for men and women, including testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and estrogen-based treatment for perimenopause and menopause, guided by individualized medical evaluation.
Many online hormone clinics offer convenience; fill out a form, get a prescription shipped to your door. But hormone therapy is complex, and everyone responds differently. What works for someone else might not work for you, and adjustments often need to be made based on subtle changes in how you feel. At Azoth Health, you’re seeing an experienced osteopathic physician in person who can evaluate you as a whole person, not just a set of lab values. Dr. Hawkins brings both medical expertise and an osteopathic perspective that considers how physical, mental, and emotional health interconnect. You’re not a subscription customer. You’re a patient receiving individualized medical care

What is hormone balance & replacement?
Hormone balance and replacement involves evaluating how hormones such as estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, thyroid hormones, and cortisol are functioning in the body, and addressing imbalances that may be contributing to symptoms. Hormones influence energy, mood, sleep, metabolism, libido, concentration, and how the body responds to stress. When levels shift, due to age, health conditions, or life transitions, people may notice changes that don’t improve with lifestyle adjustments alone.
Treatment may involve monitoring, targeted supplementation, or hormone replacement when clinically appropriate. The goal is restoring balance to support your overall health and day-to-day functioning
When hormone-related imbalances are contributing to symptoms, treatment may help support:
Improved energy and reduced fatigue
More stable mood and emotional regulation
Better sleep quality
Improved focus and mental clarity
Support for metabolic health and body composition
Improved libido and sexual health
Reduced symptoms related to perimenopause, menopause, or androgen decline
Outcomes vary based on individual physiology and health history. Hormone therapy is one part of care and is often most effective when integrated into a broader medical plan.

What to expect
Your First Appointment Initial consultations typically run 30 -45 minutes – not the 15-minute rush you might be used to. Dr. Hawkins takes the time to understand your full health history, current symptoms, lifestyle factors, and what you’re hoping to achieve. This isn’t a telehealth questionnaire or a quick prescription refill. It’s a thorough medical evaluation that may include discussion of sleep patterns, stress levels, diet, exercise, relationships, and how all of these intersect with your hormonal health. If you’ve had recent lab work, Dr. Hawkins will review it in detail. If not, he can order labs needed to understand what’s contributing to your symptoms.
If Treatment is Recommended You’ll have a conversation about your options, including potential benefits, realistic expectations, possible risks, and alternatives. Dr. Hawkins explains things in plain language and makes sure you understand what you’re choosing and why. Treatment plans are individualized based on your physiology, health history, and goals – not based on what an insurance company will cover or a one-size-fits-all protocol.
Ongoing Monitoring & AdjustmentHormone therapy isn’t “set it and forget it.” Your body’s response guides the process. Follow-up visits allow Dr. Hawkins to track how you’re feeling, review labs when needed, and make adjustments to optimize your results. This is personalized medicine – you’re working with a physician who knows your case, tracks your progress over time, and can adjust your care as your needs change. You won’t be handed off to different providers or routed through administrative gatekeepers to get answers.

Why we don't accept insurance for office visits
Hormone replacement requires the kind of thorough, personalized care that insurance models simply don’t support. We’ve chosen not to accept insurance for these services because it allows Dr. Hawkins to provide the depth of evaluation, monitoring, and adjustment that this work genuinely requires.
Many insurance plans come with high deductibles that may never be met, meaning you’d be paying out of pocket anyway – but with rushed 15-minute appointments, limited treatment options dictated by insurance formularies, and minimal ongoing monitoring. We believe you deserve better than that.
When you work with us, your care isn’t constrained by what an insurance company approves. Dr. Hawkins can order the comprehensive labs needed to understand what’s actually happening, spend real time discussing your symptoms and goals, and make adjustments based on how your body responds – not based on a corporate protocol.
Pricing:
- $250/initial consult
- $250/monthly follow up appointments including medication
- $200/monthly appointment without medication (Dr. Hawkins can write a script so you can use insurance)
