Ketamine Therapy in Farmington, MI
When traditional treatments haven’t worked – physician-led ketamine therapy with psychological support for treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, chronic pain, and personal transformation.
Most ketamine clinics give you an injection and leave you alone in a room. At Azoth Health, you work with both Dr. Hawkins (physician) and Dr. Ghoul (licensed professional therapist) throughout your entire treatment – from intention-setting before each session to integration work afterward. Our goal is to help create lasting change through neuroplasticity and therapeutic support.

What we treat
Treatment-Resistant Depression When antidepressants haven’t worked or have stopped working, ketamine can provide rapid relief and create new neural pathways for lasting improvement.
PTSD and Trauma Ketamine helps process traumatic memories and break patterns of avoidance, emotional numbing, and hypervigilance that haven’t responded to traditional therapy.
Chronic Pain For pain conditions that persist despite other treatments, ketamine can interrupt pain signals and provide relief when nothing else has.

How our program works
Unlike telehealth ketamine services or clinics that simply administer medication, our program integrates medical oversight with therapeutic support throughout your journey.
Please note – the cost may vary slightly if a patient is using insurance to cover the psychotherapy part of the screening appointment/ketamine sessions. If using insurance, please ask for pricing. The medical portion of the screening/treatment is not covered by insurance.
The Process

What makes us different
Dual Medical and Psychological Oversight You’re not left alone with a nurse checking vitals. Both a physician (Dr. Hawkins, DO) and a licensed therapist (Dr. Ghoul) are involved throughout your treatment.
Therapeutic Integration Ketamine doesn’t just “fix” symptoms – it creates windows of neuroplasticity. The pre-session intention-setting and post-session integration work help you use that window for lasting change, not just temporary relief.
Personalized Approach Some patients want a self-guided, introspective experience. Others want active therapeutic support during the session. We adapt to what serves you best.
Medical Supervision, Not a Factory This is physician-led care in a private practice setting – not a corporate ketamine mill churning through patients. Dr. Hawkins and Dr. Ghoul know your name, your story, and your progress.
Safety First Continuous blood pressure monitoring, cardiac screening, medical evaluation, and post-session clearance before you leave.

Frequently asked questions
How is ketamine administered?
Via intramuscular (IM) injection. This provides reliable absorption and allows for dose adjustments based on your response.
How long does a session last?
Plan for 2-3 hours total: 30-minute pre-session check-in, treatment (45-60 minutes), and at least one hour of supervised recovery before you leave.
Will I be unconscious?
No. You’ll be in a dissociative state – conscious but experiencing an altered perception of reality. Some people describe it as dreamlike or introspective.
How quickly does it work?
Many patients notice shifts after the first 1-2 sessions, but lasting results typically require 6-8 treatments as new neural pathways are built and reinforced.
Is it safe?
When administered in a medically supervised setting with proper screening, ketamine therapy has a strong safety profile. That’s why we require labs, EKG, medical evaluation, and continuous monitoring.
Do you take insurance?
No – this is a cash-pay service. This allows us to spend adequate time with each patient and provide the level of care insurance won’t reimburse for. We do accept FSA/HSA payments.
Can I combine ketamine therapy with my current antidepressants or other medications?
This will be evaluated during your screening. Dr. Hawkins will review your full medication list.
What if I don't qualify after the screening?
You receive a full $250 refund if you’re determined not to be a good candidate for treatment.
Do I need to be in therapy to do this?
Not required, but recommended. Ketamine creates openings – ongoing therapy helps you integrate what comes up. Dr. Ghoul can provide counseling services if needed but many patients keep their current therapist or find services elsewhere.
Can I drive home?
No. You must arrange for someone to drive you home after each session.
