Testosterone Replacement Therapy in Farmington, MI

In-person evaluation with a physician who takes the time, and a counselor down the hall if it turns out to be more than hormones.

TRT from a physician who can also tell you when it isn't your testosterone.

Most TRT clinics answer one question: is your testosterone low? At Azoth Health, a board-certified family medicine physician and licensed professional counselor work in the same practice, so you get a better question answered: what’s actually making you feel this way?

Testosterone naturally declines with age. If you’re tired all the time, your libido has dropped, you recover slowly after physical activity, or your workouts don’t pay off the way they used to, low T is worth checking. So are sleep, stress, depression, and metabolic health, because they cause the same symptoms and often travel together. Dr. Jason Hawkins, DO, has been practicing medicine for over 10 years. He sorts out which it is, treats what the evidence supports, and gets you feeling like yourself again.

Tired of mail-order TRT?

Online clinics mail the medication and check in when it’s time to renew. If you’re on TRT and not getting results, that’s often why. Here you work in person with a physician who tracks your labs and adjusts your therapy to how you actually respond. Some of the men Dr. Hawkins treats in their 50s say they feel better than they have in decades. Individual results vary.

Low T or something else?

Low testosterone and depression feel almost identical: fatigue, irritability, low motivation, low libido, poor focus. Treat the wrong one and you get a few good weeks, then the same flatness. When your evaluation points beyond hormones, you don’t have to start over somewhere new.

Where counseling fits

TRT can restore energy and drive. It won’t fix burnout, a strained relationship, or depression that was there before your levels dropped. Dr. Zeina Ghoul, PhD, LPC, works with analytically minded men, including many who are skeptical of therapy, on:

  • Low T vs. depression, anxiety, or burnout
  • Irritability or low mood that lingers after treatment
  • The stress and relationship side of low libido
  • Sleep and stress

For depression that hasn’t responded to other treatment, ketamine-assisted therapy is also available.

Before You Start

  • It can affect fertility. TRT can sharply lower sperm count. Fertility-preserving alternatives are available.
  • It needs monitoring. Regular labs keep it safe.
  • It’s usually long-term, not a short course.
  • The goal is how you feel, not the highest number on a lab report.

Appointments

For men who want a thorough workup, men already on TRT who want in-person oversight, and men told their levels are “normal” who still don’t feel right.

  1. Consultation (30–45 min, in person). Symptoms, history, sleep, stress, training, and goals. We recommend sharing your recent labs and medical records before your appointment.
  2. Individualized labs. No one-size-fits-all panel. Dr. Hawkins often goes beyond traditional panels (micronutrients, B12, blood sugar) so other causes aren’t missed.
  3. Your options. Testosterone replacement therapy is available in several forms. We’ll discuss the potential benefits, risks, and alternatives so you can make an informed decision. If testosterone therapy isn’t appropriate for you, we’ll explain why.
  4. Ongoing monitoring. Labs about every three months, mostly in-person follow-ups, some by telehealth. Same physician every time.

We’re cash pay, so your visits aren’t shaped by insurance limits. Call or ask when you book for pricing.
